Shalya Tantra

       Department of Shalyatantra or Department of Surgery is one of the clinical departments that teach and train the students about the basics of surgery and para-surgical aspects given in Ayurveda as well as modern concepts at their level. The approach of students is also shaped towards the various modern tools and techniques of investigation and latest information regarding the general surgical procedures. 

            The hospital is having Shalyatantra OPD, IPD, and a well-equipped OT for posted surgeries. There is also a minor OT for the management of wound and for doing parasurgical procedures like Agnikarma, Rakthamokshana etc. 

            The department is also having a well-arranged library to enrich the knowledge of students. The department is focused to promote the basic skills in emergency surgical management.
