Agadatantram

       Agadtantra one among the Ashtangas of Ayurveda, placed its position in Bruhatrayees and laghutrayees. This branch of medicine known in different names by different Acharya’s like Damshtra chikitsa by Vagbhattacharya, Vishagaravairodhika prasamana by Charakacharya and the most commonly used name Agadtantra by Sushrutacharya. 

        The department is dealing with knowledge about the bites and stings, poisoning, forensic medicine, and medical jurisprudence. The department consists of separate library, animal and plant specimens, weapon demonstration, models and charts about the major topics of Agadatantra. The department emphasis to promote the emergency management through Agadatantram.
